Go therefore and make disciples of all nations
Matthew 28:19
Central is going to Los Angeles to work with church plants June 22th-28th, 2024. We will be working on church restoration projects, we will be volunteering in the local food pantry, and working with the homeless on skid row. The cost will be around $1100 and will include airfare, some food, lodging, and transportation. Please be in prayer about how God might be leading you to participate in this opportunity.
Join the mission June 22-28
Los Angeles is the second most populated city in the US. Although known for some of the biggest names in show business, L.A. is also home to people from more than 140 countries, speaking 224 different identified languages. Los Angeles faces significant challenges with issues ranging from homelessness and food instability to human trafficking. God has a plan for Los Angeles. He has called us to bring hope, love and beauty to this diverse city.
As Send Relief expands its compassion efforts in the Los Angeles area, teams will help serve the city’s most vulnerable. Projects include construction and community outreach to those without homes.
What will you do?
Mission teams will engage in light construction to help build out our ministry center in L.A. This work is important as we create space to house our mission teams and allow the ministry center to serve as an overnight safe house for children rescued from human trafficking. As a member of the mission team, you will also have the opportunity to engage in other Send Relief outreach projects in the area, including meeting the needs of community’s homeless people through food distributions and prayer.
